Honoring Hawaii with our efforts

Hawaii’s state motto is “Ua Mau ke Ea o ka ‘Aina i ka Pono”, which means “The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness”. We take this message to heart in everything we do, ensuring that this beautiful State is properly cared for and able to be more food and resource independent.

Aloha Green is a responsible steward of over 2000 acres on the Hamakua Coast and has been recognized by the USDA as “Farmer of the Year” and “Land Steward of the Year” by the USDA’s Natural Resource Conservation Service. We take this responsibility of land stewardship very seriously and always strive to be Pono in the way we approach land-use practices. Aloha Green has made major investments in Farming and ranching over the past years by employing local families

The importance of better agricultural management practices

Currently, Hawaii imports roughly 90% of its food, making us vulnerable to disruptions in the food supply. Hawaii’s Governor David Ige pledged to double our food production by 2030.

Hawaii’s Department of Economic Development and Tourism estimated that the economic impact of global food replacement is significant and that additional revenues of $313M could be generated to the state by producing just 10% of the food we import.

Aloha Green is committed to making Hawaii more food self-sufficient through direct investment in growing crops and also supporting local farmers by providing land and infrastructure to foster the production of fresh fruits, vegetables, and grass-fed beef.
